Colbert Nails O'Reilly; O'Reilly Wrong As Always

Stephen Colbert out-- O'Reilly'd Bill O'Reilly tonight on both the Colbert Report and the O'Reilly Factor. Each one was a guest on the other's show, and as usual, Colbert made "papa bear" (his nickname for o'reilly) look like a big fat headed idiot. Only this time it was in person. Watch it here thru Crooks and Liars.

Although Colbert was the one throwing most of the jabs, Bill O'Reilly got his two cents in by citing his own "[Factor] study of Jon Stewart's show"... and how it was "stoned slackers" who made up the majority of the viewers. Nevermind the fact that it would be impossible to statistically determine how many viewers of a particular show both "smoke pot" and fall into the category of "slackers", however way the word slackers is to be defined.

Actual studies of viewer demographics contradict Bill's internal factoid. According to Nielsen Media Research, "viewers of Jon Stewart’s show are more likely to have completed four years of college than people who watch “The O’Reilly Factor.”'

MSNBC
Comedy Central also touted a recent study by the University of Pennsylvania’s National Annenberg Election Survey, which said young viewers of “The Daily Show” were more likely to answer questions about politics correctly than those who don’t.

Comedy Central had no statistics on how many people watch “The Daily Show” stoned.
